Last night the Wallace family went to watch the Reading Rockets - a semi professional basketball team play a league match. George has joined the basketball club at school which is being coached by one of the player - Sam Simon (The Beast - 6ft 11). We had gained one of the free family tickets given to school. Reading Rockets are currently un-beaten this season. Last night they were playing the Derby Trailblazers. Although we didn't know anything about Basketball we had a good time. The children especially enjoyed going to the sweet shop to buy red strawberry laces. The rockets just won 78-75. The Trailblazers had a final 3 point shot but the final buzzer went a second before their ball dropped in the basket (sounds like I learnt a little?).
